What is a Routine Vision Exam?

A routine vision exam is a comprehensive assessment of the visual system to determine how well the eyes work together, and it allows the doctor to determine your prescription for eyewear.

It is performed when there is no known underlying eye or systemic disease and can often help uncover problems with the eyes and provide insight into your overall health.

Your Routine Vision Exam Will Assess

Eye muscle coordination

Near focusing ability

Prescription for eyewear

Glaucoma risk with complementary visual field testing

External ocular health

Internal ocular health
